“I believe that the mind reflects the body, and the body reflects the mind. The more fluid and open we are in one, it will reflect in the other. I also believe that we have unlimited potential to change. I think of my work as removing obstacles. I believe when obstructions or blocks are freed up in the body, it creates the possibility for unlimited new potentials – new ranges of motion, new ways of thinking, new attitudes and perspectives even. On a physiological perspective, it frees up our fluid systems to travel the body and maintain optimal health.
I see each massage as both an artistic event and an exploration in anatomy; with a focus on listening – both to what the client expresses, and to what I feel in their body. Some words to describe my work: Deep, Slow, Patient, Purposeful, Intelligent, Curious, Interested, Specific. Sculpting, Perceptive.”
Fran Headley-Fran has been fascinated with the body every since she was a young girl. Hanging out in the woods finding bones and dissecting fish she had a love of biology, particularly anatomy. Originally from Oregon, Fran has traveled the world in search of nature and community that fills her soul. She found peace in the San Juan Mountains where she is a Business Owner, Teacher and Bodyworker. As a certified Orthopedic Massage Therapist, Fran specializes in athletic injuries and chronic pain. Exploring Eastern modalities she is growing her knowledge everyday. Her goals include increased client awareness and education so everyone can all live the life they want! "Balance is a constant evolution"- Fran Headley
