Program Description Successful completion of this program enables the practitioner to teach yoga at the highest standard currently offered at a national level, and to provide a yoga therapy treatment alone as a method for increasing overall health or in conjunction with massage and wellness therapies.

Tuition: $4,500 Supplies: Course Binder and In Class supplies are included in price of tuition. Students are responsible for all costs associated with textbooks, state and national exams and licensing. Students may wish to budget more depending on supply needs and preferences.

Asana Pranayama Mudra Bhanda - 130 Hours Yoga asana are specific body positions that open energy channels and provide a stable foundation for meditation. This course is a series of yoga classes which focus on yoga asana while providing necessary practice of yogic breathing, gazing and energetic locks, preparing the student for a future as yoga therapist. Included as topics are: Asana for Relaxation, Meditation Asana, Chakra Asana, Vajrasana Asana, Standing/Balancing Poses, Surya Namaskara, Chandra Namaskara, Padmasana, Backward Bending, Spinal Twisting, Inversions, Intro. To Pranayama: The Pranic Body & Yogic Breathing.
Classical Texts of Yoga - 65 Hours The Classical Texts of Yoga date back thousands of years and were passed down orally for centuries before being written. This course provides a practical approach to understanding a vast mystical body of knowledge.
Shatkarma - 26 Hours The shatkarmas consist of six groups of ancient yogic purification practices. The objective of this course is to familiarize the student with practice of the shatkarmas, resulting in physical and mental purification and balance.
Yoga Clinic - 81 Hours Yoga classes and yoga therapy are offered in a clinic setting to advance the student’s knowledge and confidence in yoga instruction and therapy. Instructor supervision and feedback are ongoing. This course emphasizes the art of making anatomically safe and effective adjustments.
Business & Ethics of Yoga - 10 Hours Presented are challenging issues both legally and ethically confronting Yoga as a profession. Students will understand the history of the profession and its potential and scope of practice. Included are current industry standards and any regulations and laws that may apply. Topics include: Overview of Laws & Guidelines within Yoga Industry, Current Standards, Regulations & Laws at the Local, State and National Levels, Scope of Practice; The American Yoga Alliance; Education Guidelines.
Ashtanga Yoga - 88 Hours The study of the eight limbs of yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi.
Anatomy & Physiology - 100 Hours The objective of Anatomy & Physiology for the wellness therapist is to understand the structure and function of the body, including the health and disease processes as it relates to the bodywork and wellness therapies industry. Included are the effects of massage, yoga, herbs and complementary therapies on the body.
